This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, stored, and used in connection with your use of the "LedHaarets" application (the "App"), available for iOS and Android devices. The App is operated by "LedHaarets" (ledhaarets.co.il) (the "App Operator").

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Policy Highlights

  • The App operates primarily locally on your device. There are no user accounts, and we do not operate servers that collect user data.
  • The App contains no advertisements, does not use analytics tools, and does not sell or share personal information for commercial purposes.
  • Your geographic location is used solely to calculate times and configure the hardware device according to your location, with your consent.

1. Information Collected and Processed

1.1 Information Provided by the User

The App may process information that you explicitly enter, such as:

  • A device access code (PIN) used for authentication and connection to the hardware device.
  • Preferences, settings, and texts that you save or send to the hardware device.
  • Files you select manually (for example, a firmware update file or a document for display).

This information is stored on your device or on the hardware device you connect to, and is not sent to servers of the App Operator.

1.2 Location Data

The App uses your geographic location — with your consent and only while the App is in use — to calculate times and configure the hardware device according to your location: determining coordinates, elevation above sea level, time zone, and place name. You may also select a location manually on a map instead of using your device's location services.

On Android, location permission is additionally required in order to perform Bluetooth scans, in accordance with operating system requirements.

Location data is not stored by the App Operator and is not used for tracking, advertising, or profiling.

1.3 Technical Information

During use, basic technical information required for operation may be processed, such as the Bluetooth identifier of the hardware device you connect to. This information is used solely to maintain a proper connection and is not stored in any external database.

2. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Bluetooth – to scan for, connect to, and communicate with the hardware device.
  • Location – to calculate times and adjust settings according to your location, as described in Section 1.2. On Android, this permission is additionally required for Bluetooth scanning.
  • File access – to load files you select manually via the system file picker.

You may decline these permissions or revoke them at any time in your device settings; however, some App functions may not operate without the relevant permission.

3. Third-Party Services

  • Google Maps Platform services – to calculate location data (place name, elevation above sea level, and time zone), the coordinates of the location you selected are transmitted to Google services for processing. These services are subject to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. This information is used solely to process the request and is not stored by the App Operator.
  • Firmware update checks – when checking for updates, the App contacts the App Operator's server (ledhaarets.co.il) to retrieve update details and download the update. No personal information is transmitted in this process beyond standard technical data of internet communication.

Beyond the above, we do not share personal information with third parties, except as required to comply with applicable law, a court order, or a demand by a competent authority, or where necessary to protect the rights of the Operator, other users, or third parties.

4. Use of Information

Information processed within the App is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Connecting to the hardware device and sending/receiving data.
  • Calculating times and configuring the hardware device according to the location you selected.
  • Performing firmware (OTA) updates.
  • Storing local settings and usage preferences on your device.

The App does not use information for targeted advertising, personal profiling, or the sale of information to third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Information is stored locally on your device or on the hardware device. It can generally be deleted by:

  • Uninstalling the App from your device.
  • Resetting the hardware device's settings according to the manufacturer's instructions.

6. Children and Minors

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from users under this age. If you become aware that a minor has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so that we can address it.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed in the App; however, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access or cyberattacks. Use of the App and the hardware device is at your sole responsibility.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The App Operator may update this Policy from time to time. The date of the latest update will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change to the Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
